Se inauguró el campus de BTVI en Exuma.
Una visión que surgió hace diez años del Viceprimer Ministro y Miembro del Parlamento por Exuma, el Honorable I. Chester Cooper, se hizo realidad hoy con la inauguración oficial del Campus de Exuma del Instituto Técnico y Vocacional de las Bahamas (BTVI), recientemente renovado.
Durante la ceremonia, denominada "¡BTVI Fuerte!", el Viceprimer Ministro Cooper reiteró una frase de su madre: "Te pueden despedir de un trabajo, pero no de un oficio". Con esta premisa, el Viceprimer Ministro declaró que la inauguración oficial del campus representa un "cambio transformador para Exuma y sus cayos".
"A medida que la economía de Exuma se expande, se necesitan trabajadores calificados", afirmó.
"Esto contribuirá significativamente a nuestro progreso".

Our goal is to increase the graduation rate from 50% to 85% by 2030. The MOE aims to create an educational system that is technologically sound and competitive and that develops the strengths of each child, whether academic or otherwise, towards the maximum contribution that he/she is able to make to the national development of The Bahamas.
